Spring 2025 "Tool Tuesdays"

On select Tuesdays throughout the Spring 2025 Semester, students, faculty and staff can participate in "Tool Tuesdays" workshops designed to introduce them to fabrication tools and creative approaches in the RIDE Center. 

Generously co-sponsored by the Westfield State University Foundation, the RIDE Center, and the Beveridge Family Foundation of Western MA.

Creating a Sense of Community Innovation Challenge: An opportunity for exploration, collaboration, and invention: Westfield State University inaugural "Creating a Sense of Community" Innovation Challenge is Co-Sponsored by The Interfaith Center, RIDE Center, & Westfield State Foundation. Join a student team to design, develop, prototype,and create installations that support a community of wellness and belonging in the Interfaith Meditation Garden.
Wege Prize is an annual competition that ignites game-changing solutions for the future by inspiring college/university students around the world to collaborate across institutional, disciplinary, and cultural boundaries to redesign the way economies work. Participants contend for $65,000 (USD) in total cash prizes, all while learning—and helping to show the world—what the future of problem solving looks like. Innovation Rounds are an opportunity for students to meet various experts who serve diverse global communities. It’s an opportunity for students to learn about their work and engage in innovative team-oriented solutions to complex global challenges. This Fall, Dr. Michelle Duffelmeyer, an internist and Professor in WSU Physician Assistant program, will present her medical work in Peru.
